This video by Nature, is very interesting and explains what is the Heliosphere and NASA’s last discoveries about this ‘shell’ that surrounds our solar system. Many things about it are to be discovered in my opinion since it’s something that was measured only very recently (by Voyager 1 and 2).
Like earth have a Magnetic Field that creates a sort of bubble arount itself, sun too have something similar, it’s called Heliosphere, and it’s located farther than Pluto.

Classification
Solar flares are classified as A, B, C, M or X according to the peak flux (in watts per square meter, W/m2) of 100 to 800 picometer X-rays near Earth, as measured on the GOES spacecraft. Each class has a peak flux ten times greater than the preceding one, with X class flares having a peak flux of order 10−4 W/m2. Within a class there is a linear scale from 1 to 9, so an X2 flare is twice as powerful as an X1 flare, and is four times more powerful than an M5 flare. The more powerful M and X class flares are often associated with a variety of effects on the near-Earth space environment. Although the GOES classification is commonly used to indicate the size of a flare, it is only one measure. According to scientists, the cause for such an eruption can be the interaction of the star’s magnetic field and the magnetic field of a Jupiter-like planet.

On that morning, he was capturing the likeness of an enormous group of sunspots. Suddenly, before his eyes, two brilliant beads of blinding white light appeared over the sunspots, intensified rapidly, and became kidney-shaped. Realizing that he was witnessing something unprecedented and “being somewhat flurried by the surprise,” Carrington later wrote, “I hastily ran to call someone to witness the exhibition with me. On returning within 60 seconds, I was mortified to find that it was already much changed and enfeebled.” He and his witness watched the white spots contract to mere pinpoints and disappear.
It was 11:23 AM. Only five minutes had passed.
Just before dawn the next day, skies all over planet Earth erupted in red, green, and purple auroras so brilliant that newspapers could be read as easily as in daylight. Indeed, stunning auroras pulsated even at near tropical latitudes over Cuba, the Bahamas, Jamaica, El Salvador, and Hawaii.
Even more disconcerting, telegraph systems worldwide went haywire. Spark discharges shocked telegraph operators and set the telegraph paper on fire. Even when telegraphers disconnected the batteries powering the lines, aurora-induced electric currents in the wires still allowed messages to be transmitted.

In the early morning on June 30, 1908 at 7:15 (± 5 min) a.m. that correspond to 0:14 (± 5 min) UT, a powerful explosion occurred in the Kulik-caldera, Eastern Siberia. Scientists examining the area estimated that the explosion was equivalent to 5÷40 megatons of TNT. The blast felled trees in an area over 2,150 square km. Barometric and seismic disturbances from the explosion were recorded world-wide. For the first three nights after the Tunguska explosion, skies of Eurasia were exceptionally bright and then the effect abruptly disappeared. Although most observers generally accept that some kind of a celestial body, either a comet or an asteroid, could blow up, however, the main puzzle is the absence of space-body remnants in/on the ground in the affected region. And now, more 100 years later, the debate about the Tunguska event continues.
PULSATIONS IN KIEL AND THE VORTEX OF GRAVITY
Linear gravitational field equations, that are obtained from Maxwell’s equations by using gravitational vectors instead of electromagnetic vectors, have attracted the attention of scientists long ago. When Heavisidian monopoles are taken into account the equations can be modified by introducing two scalar fields. In 1969, J. Carstoiu [1] presented the so-called vortex field of gravitational force, comparable to the electromagnetic system.
For the first time vortical structures on the Sun were observed in 1857 [2]. On May 5, 1907 the same structures were registered on the sundisk again. A. Stentzel has paid attention to the effect of a 50-yr period of these structures. The effect of inversion of speeds for neutral points of polarization has been noted since May, 10th 1907 when the rate of increase of Arago point has exceeded the rate of increase of point Babine [3]. Obviously, this effect could correlate with above mentioned vortical structures on the Sun at that time. Increasing of the angular distance of neutral points (both Arago and Babine), which has begun on May, 1907, proceeded till the end of June, 1908. Exactly after the Tunguska explosion the maximum relative increase of the polarization for the whole period from 1905 till 1910 was recorded [4].
This simulation made me allmost cry, I mean, try to imagine yourself in an orbital colony (or space station), observing the end of life on earth, wouldn’t you cry? Even if all of your friends and family are with you.. I mean, alli life on earth, creatures, plants, habitats..
In any case, turning off the sentimental mode, there are lots of people studing this field, and ls widely believed that impacts similar to the simulation have happened on earth history.

Well, I was reading this interesting article about a recent discovery that led to the idea that we are not from here! ..Meaning that we are not from the Milky Way, the big galaxy that somewhere is still naked-eye visible. So our “father” galaxy is the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy.

More than anything I found interesting this part:
It has been postulated that this is the real reason for both global warming since higher energy levels of the Milky Way are almost certain to cause our Sun to burn hotter and emit higher energies. Indeed, temperatures have been seen to rise on virtually all the planets in our system. This seems quite apart from any local phenomenon like greenhouse gases etc.
This grand turning is possibly the root cause for the discontinuation of the Mayan calendar (the most accurate on the planet) because the ‘read-point’ of the Pleiades star cluster, which many believe the calendar was based upon, can no longer be a constant as we begin to steer away from the earlier predictable movements.
I do not have enought knowledge to say that is possible, but what red above brought to my mind the electric model of the sun, well, if I’m not wrong they said that the energy emitted from te sun does not come directly from the sun itself, but from an outher source, and if it’s the energy that comes from the higly energetic center of the galaxy? Probably the changes in alignment to the milky way will have a certain influence onto the solar output, as it was already recorded.
Well, surely it’s more original as a theory than the Nibiru One..

According to that article it’s something really happening, BUT, the highest level of sun activity is not now, it’s increasing, but yet, you have to see this..

As you can see the solar flux is NOT at its maximum, but in any case it seems to have also a kind of annual flux variability, and now (August 2008) it seems to be in the increasing period, we’ll see the levels it will reach.
Also, the sun surface seemed to be at it’s maximum activity level at the end of 1999, pretty cool.. but, this does not correspond to the maximum solar flux to earth, that was in late 2001. Well, surely there is an explanation for this.
It will be interesting to see if the increased activity correspond to particular alignments, to planets or to the galaxy itself! This could become the proof of the theory of cosmic alignment leading to excessive solar activity (= big problems to earth).

Cosmic Rays and Solar activity
A german scientist believes that there is a tight relation between cosmic rays levels and solar activity:

Quoting what the scientist wrote:
“In the last thirty years the main increase of temperature in Central Europe happened within the short period of 4 years between 1987 and 1991. This event was coincidental with increasing sun activities, increasing intensities of sun winds and with decreasing cosmic radiation (neutron rates) with the consequences of reducing cloudiness, increasing global radiation and increasing ground near temperature. It leads to the opinion that Climate Change in the past century in Central Europe seems to be mainly Sun made.”
How the cosmic radiation is related to the sun activity is not clear (at least to me), he states that lower cosmic rays activity leads to lower cloudiness and consequently to higher ground temperatures.
Cosmic Rays more clouds? How can this be? Explanations? I’ll try to find out more next.

Not only our ble planet is having global warming, other ‘globes’ are warming.. Why is it interesting? Hmm, I’m thinking about the electric sun theory (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ihVaL-FHUyk), and is making me really curious how this phenomena can be explained with that theory.
